You have to license the tune that you want to use and you have to license the PCM. The only way to use the segment swap feature is if the tune on the PCM is the same OS as the tune you want to use. I don't believe the V6 os and the V8 os are the same. so you wouldn't be able to swap segments. I could be wrong though.

Try to find a variant of the 2156 OS that had your 5.7 liter LS1 engine in it from GM (this DOES exist) and also contains whatever transmission you desire. Otherwise, you will need to do a segment swap or try to fix checksum errors with Universal Patcher. Or simply edit your 8322 OS and move ahead.
