Right. My guess is that the Lorex device maintains a connection to the Cloud and when the mobile app asks for X, the device is able to send it to the cloud appropriately. Once I attach Lorex device to new Router I am able to see it as connected to the router with a legit IP. And yes I can connect to the IP and view the cameras and the likes.
