Plus, there is a pueblo, El Cuartelejo, built in the 1600s by refugees from the Taos Pueblo. It is the only Indian pueblo in Kansas.

Scott State Park is a real gem. There is a beautiful, 100 acre fishing lake surrounded by remarkable cliffs within the 1,020 acre park. Lots of campground space for both primitive and utility camping. The Campground Host was very helpful explaining the self pay system and advised us to pay one night at a time as there was no refund available.
