Pitt offered my daughter $8000 a year a couple of years ago, Rutgers offered $0 (she was offered merit at the 18 OOS schools she applied to). Feb 9, 2024 · Same boat-- same college (Swanson). I keep checking the portal for aid notification but it hasn’t appeared. DD24 was offered a presidential scholarship at Purdue (also OOS) and a direct admit to Engineering. So, her stats are strong-- she was also accepted to Georgia Tech but no merit aid there yet-- not surprising since like 1% of OOS students receive any scholarships at Tech even with a 9% ... Feb 25, 2024 · The way merit works at Pitt is that a scholarship committee starts reviewing all accepted applications starting on October 1. I think they may meet on Tuesdays each week. Every week after that date, they will send out merit offers to a subset of admitted students. The reason we fell in love with Pitt after visit is the medical resources and school size.
