I have a CCC 782 SN 714899, as I understand it, when MTD set up Cub Cadet Corporation, production moved from Louisville, KY to Brownsville, TN. Again, from what I understand, the only change MTD/CCC made was to replace the IH Cast Iron rear end housing and helical cut gears with straight-cut gears in an aluminum housing.The 144782399 is not the serial number. It is a Model number. Here is the breakdown: 144- 1984 model year. 782- Tractor model 782. 399- IH Red paint scheme. The serial number would be the last six sequential of the lower number, which above is 737324. There should not be two tractors sharing the same six digit sequential number.Mar 9, 2024. #5. I would at minimum swap a Magnum 18 or Command 18-up in it.
