John deere 1780 planter problems.
Got a new to us planter and we’re putting these pieces on new. Is it normal to have that much play where the roll pins go? What’s odd is the holes are round. Is there a different part we need instead?

What amazes me is the Deere planters are so bad from the factory you have to change out parts and spend a bunch of money right after you buy a brand new machine. It will tell me its planting when it's not and vice versa. I check the circuit with the planter diagnostics and it will tell me it is ok. We have a John Deere 7200 16 row front fold planter that has been giving us troubles for awhile now. First off, we just got it out to get it prepped for planting season. When we try and lift the wing wheels to unfold, right side wing wheels will lift just fine, left side can barely lift itself. Take the boxes off and in the dark, turn on the monitor. You should see a bright light in the tube, if dim or no light, the sensor is bad. No repair, just replace.
