Using my controller I had to turn the dead zones way up in the controller settings to stop the helicopter from drifting on its own. ColemanV.
The standard controls are just clunky and really weird in my opinion. I mean, in real life even someone who has never flown a helicopter can fly one if he gets a 10min introduction from a flight instructor, and the controls in arma 3 are more complicated than in real life. Mar 11, 2022 · I was testing this in the Helicopter Showcase, using L-SHIFT to pull in collective, and L-CTRL for down collective, until in a nice hover 3-5 feet over the pavement. I normally use the throttle half of my Thrustmaster HOTAS for collective inputs. I don't even use the stick half in Arma, preferring the mouse and keyboard for attitude inputs. You cannot. You can have an AI in the gunner seat and tell them what to fire at though. Press ' T ' to lock onto targets and your gunner will target them.
