Reforged is vanilla+ and has a cool wiki. Convergence can be overwhelming at first but alot of people seems to like it. It's more spells focused. If you want to download moveset packs , it's better imo to add those in the base game. You'll probably get alot of janks/crashs if you try to add mods on top of overhauls mods.
If you want a mod that provides more of an overhaul, and a lot of new content, convergence is your mod. Ive played both extensively, and imo convergence drowns reforged in terms of gameplay and replayability. Unalloyed is my favorite. It uses or used reforge and other mods including randomizer to change things.

It allows for things like an entire mage playthrough because of FP-generation spells and passive FP generation allowing you to be more aggressive with the over-the-top Ashes of War that probably aren't the best, but are fun to use-- especially against regular enemies.
