TDK780, understand your concerns. When landing in November, we experienced a very long line with no (in transit) sign in view. It wasn’t until we were in this atmosphere for a good 30-45 minutes before an agent offered all traveling (in transit) to step out of the line.

Hey there, this our first trip to the island, having had to cancel our previous attempt after Irma. We're staying on Simpson Bay for 9 days in a couple of weeks and looking for a rental car. I see Hertz recommended a bit. Per Delta's website they start flying to SXM July 2nd. We don't know how it will be in SXM, or if we want to spend $$$$ if it's going to be stressful. That doesn't sound like a good vacation. SXM did release their 5 phase to reopen plan. Basically most everything opens June 1st, on June 15th Everything is open.
