The stock IS300 bolts mounting the diff are flared but the FRS diff uses regular bolts. The solution is to grind some of the material on the inside of the where bolts mount on the diff to get the flared bolts to fit. But you can also just use the stock FRS diff bolts if you get them and its a direct swap.

So I've read a lot about diff swap for IS300. I'm already LSD and boosted. I find the R154 to have very long ratio with the 3.7 ... I know FRS people snag IS300 diffs and use them with their mods so, they can keep the stock diffs untouched. I'd much rather to a complete diff swap then a R&P. I don't have the tools or shims to set the lash.
