I use Sildurs Extreme Volumetric shaders and have no problems with them. I did have to tweak several minecraft graphics settings to optimise framerate so I can get around 35 fps. I use optifine 1.12.2_HD_U_E3 and my launcher settings are -Xmx24g -Xms4g (this is way overkill though). I use the recommended mod pack for RL Craft which is Chroma ...

Obviously no resource pack creator will stay to do textures that include random mods. You can always use an AI to let it automatically enhance the (already existing) textures for you overnight, but that’s about it. Chroma Hills is the standard RLCraft texture pack.
