METE looks like a 2nd generation SFX because they actually put the rear optics plate in the right spot, so you can keep the rear sight with an optic now. METE PRO looks like it comes with a threaded barrel. This is interesting. I didn't know that the Mete was available in the United States yet so that's interesting. The height is the major difference. I own the SF and SFX (a longer slide version of the SFT) and can say the shorter frame makes a huge difference (imo) if you're looking to carry. If you are wanting an optic mete only uses a micro and rival can run the larger one. Mete allows cowitness with optic and only the Darkside rival with the additional optic plate allows this but is limited to what optics will fit. The main difference between the SFX RIVAL and other Caniks is the competition trigger.
Oh, and the controls aren't extended. Mete sfx has a cut for micro dots compared to tp9 sfx which has a full rmr footprint. That's a negative for me. After that all other changes are for the better and I mean noticeable better.
