(It's the lights that you can control the brightness with by spinning the dome light switch.) Look for a bent pushrod. May have bent when it tried to open the cylinder with the motor hydrolocked, and the noise would come from the valley pan as the pushrod makes contact with the valley. You may have bent a connecting rod. Disconnect 1 spark plug wire at a time and see if the knock goes away.
