It signifies that an official army inspector (as opposed to civilian manufacturing plant personnel) of the weapon inspector office inspected the part or assembly (for example, the assembly of the barrel, sights, and receiver) and approved it for inspection. The waffenamt stamp is a small thing, only a few millimeters in length and height. There is no swastika visible.
