tl;dr: Chick goes on a day hike alone in the backcountry, is stalked by a mountain lion, insults its mother, and emerges unscathed. But shaky. Very shaky. I'm posting this here because if I tell my friends or family they'll freak the fuck out and get all upset that I'm out hiking alone. Lesson learned, the dispassionate nature of nature, etc. etc.
