Our shelter is a true, in every sense of the word, no kill, rehabilitative sanctuary, located in the northeast corner of Arkansas, just across the Mississippi River, (approximately 45 minutes), west of Memphis, Tennessee.
To work with other animal lovers and animal welfare groups to provide humane education and assistance to the public, encouraging them to spay and neuter their pets. During 2022, Kanines and Kitties rescued over 700 dogs and cats and transported animals for our rescue and partner organizations. In addition, we helped the homeless and other vulnerable individuals to feed/vet/spay over 200 animals and conducted school education programs on pet care.We were able to switch the younger kittens to Nurse and begin the weaning process with a foster home for the older kittens. Nurse took to the new kittens like a champ and we were able to treat Bloom’s wound. Bloom will be up for adoption soon. Nurse’s kittens Brain, Pinky, Rita, and Runt will be up for adoption at the beginning of July.
