My wife is a realtor in Nashville, and I can tell you from first hand experience (both us looking, and her clients) that it it can be very to find housing in that budget within 30-45 minutes of Nashville. All three are honestly awesome cities to live in though. Welcome to a city with no state income tax! Tennessee in general is getting pricey with housing and Chattanooga is no different but it’s still a lot cheaper than Nashville.
