HomeBridge route is good don’t get me wrong but you don’t gain HKSV (apples native recording). As a mainly apple house, this was a no brainer and it works great.Then joined Ring to to SmartThings. No idea when this was written, but these instructions are odd and no good for today. You can’t just add Nest to HomeKit like this. You need homebridge or a starling hub. There is the hope that the Nest will be update with Matter support and then you could use it in Apple Home.
