Jan 7, 2020 · I did just jump on Insider's $10 ICG offer, using it to slab a number of gold coins. ANACS' specials usually have a $500 value limit per coin, and often specifically exclude gold. The ICG offer was the first $10 offer I've seen that would let me submit eagles and double eagles.

The trouble with the CAC and ANACS combination is that ANACS graded coins don't have the market presence that PCGS and NGC coins do. Grade for grade ANACS don’t command comparable prices, and the service has never enjoyed the prestige that PCGS and NGC enjoy.

I've registered and confirmed my registration with ANACS, yet every time I attempt to access the population report online, I get returned to the login screen. Then, when I log in (again), I am taken to the ANACS home page, only to repeat the entire process again.

I was thinking about what the term "scratched" meant to ANACS. Basically they apply the term "scratched" to any coin that has a rather prominent scar that cannot be attributed to cleaning. Mar 26, 2011 · PCGS, NGC, and CAC have widespread industry support. ANACS is spotty at best, in spite of their historic significance. ICG is rapidly fading. The other guys have no backing, even on places like eBay. Until my grading skills are better, my higher end coins are going to be pretty much PCGS and NGC.
