My pistol also came with the white plastic part and shows signs of scratches and worn-out. I have concerns that this part would fail and cause an accidental discharge.

Actually quite accurate for a 2.5" barrel, and I was impressed by the smooth cycle and reasonable recoil for a firearm so small.
