The secret stash is on the upper floor of the barn. You go to rob this place with Javier when accepting his Home Robbery task in Chapter 2 or Chapter 3. Javier is found in your gang's camp. You can still go to the homestead without him later but it's unclear if it then counts for the trophy. I was able to still get the stash after the story.

I already did the Strauss mission of collecting the debt and killed the father in the process. When I go back to rob the home the son is waiting on his bed with a knife and comes at me.
