According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1400 block of Mooney Road in the Columbiana area at 5:36 p.m. The sheriff's office said shortly after arriving, one of the deputies suffered "potentially life-threatening injuries" and was airlifted to a hospital in Birmingham.
